Gideons International

Ministry: They are a body of believers dedicated to making the Word of God available to everyone and, together with the local church, reaching souls for Christ.

The Gideons International is the result of a meeting between two men who wished to band commercial travelers together for evangelism. What began in 1908 as an Association of Christian businessmen placing Bibles in hotel rooms has evolved into an expanding mission to provide Scriptures to all people in nearly every facet of life. Today, they have taken more than 2 billion Scriptures in more than 100 languages to 200 countries, territories, and possessions across the globe.

hadassah Hope Ministries

We support this ministry on a yearly basis.

Ministry:  Hadassah Hope Ministries began many years ago in the mind and heart of a desperate woman, Patricia England.  Finding herself once again incarcerated in the Lexington County jail, she was out of options, but mostly out of hope, wanting to end her life.  However, the Lord met her right where she was, speaking His truth to her of her great value and His plans for setting her free from the bondage she had known for so very long. 

Hadassah Hope Ministries exists with an empathetic goal of supporting and empowering women impacted by social issues such as poverty, addiction, homelessness, domestic violence, self-confidence, etc. This ministry will assist women who are in and out of county detention centers by providing hope through life skills education, Biblical guidance, and mentorship that promotes their safe, successful path for re-entry into the larger society.

Jamaica Christian School for the Deaf

Ministry: Jamaica Christian School for the Deaf (JCSD) actively seeks out deaf children and works with their families to make it possible for them to receive an education in a safe and positive Christian environment. Jamaica Christian School for the Deaf is a residential facility that caters to the needs of hearing impaired children. Our school is located in the cool hills of St. James, in a farming community named Eden and as the name suggests, it is beautiful. We cater to the spiritual, academic , social and moral needs of our students who range from two years old to eighteen years old. The basic aim of the Jamaica Christian School for the Deaf is to develop to their full potential a well-integrated Christian person, morally upright, emotionally mature and ready for the outside world.

Lighthouse for Life

The mission of Lighthouse for Life is to raise awareness about the realities of Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking while restoring victims to wholeness. Our three areas of focus are Education, Restoration and Empowerment.

Education: We will travel anywhere in SC and do awareness and prevention presentations and trainings for all ages and audiences at no cost to the community. It 2017 we reached 11,044 people including 2,500 service providers such as law enforcement, medical professionals, educators, fire service, etc.

Restoration: We are opening a long term care residential facility for female survivors for females age 12-21 who are rescued from sex trafficking in the United States.

Empowerment: We strive to provide survivors with the tools and resources they will need to find wholeness and empower them to a life of true freedom through the truth of the Gospel. We also equip the community to serve through their own unique gifts, talents and strengths in their individual sphere of influence.

Providence Home

Ministry: Providence Home is a transitional home lead by Rob Settle for men who are in recovery from substance abuse and other issues and desire to change. The ministry has a strong focus on Jesus Christ and the redemptive work He can do in individuals’ lives.

Sole Stepping

We support this ministry on a yearly basis.

Ministry: Sole Stepping is a ministry run by one of our church members, Kara Jefferson. Sole Stepping provides much needed socks and shoes to the children in local elementary schools. Through meeting this physical need, they get the opportunity to spread the love of Jesus and share the gospel with the children and staff at the schools.

Ministry: The Church at White Knoll is a church plant of FBLEX with Pastor Michael Sims. This is its second year and is doing well. The Church At White Knoll strives to be a church that relentlessly pursues people of all backgrounds to help them discover the joy and fulfillment of a true relationship with Jesus rather than a mere historical or impersonal religion. Prioritizing ‘going’ over ‘inviting’ The Church at White Knoll will become a church active in the life of the community, and it’s members active in the lives of their neighbors, with the goal of helping them cross from spiritual death to life, and life abundant.
